The Gift Trust is proud to share the success of the Caremongering fund which we ran on behalf of the Namaste Foundation, who established the fund and provided the majority of the funding. The fund has now closed after donating over $100,000 to 17 charities across Wellington who were responding to the Covid-19 crisis and helping our most vulnerable people. The impact of the fund was extraordinary and we were delighted that other donors also contributed to the fund – thank you so much!

Here are some stories of thanks from some of the charities that received funding.
Diabetes Wellington would like to thank the Caremongering fund for assisting people with funding during levels 4 and 3. This funding helped us to quickly step up and support the vulnerable, at-risk people in our city at such an unprecedented time. Thank you for your compassion for our community.
We are grateful to receive this funding which ensures our care can remain free and accessible for the people of Wellington, Porirua & Kapiti. Your generosity and support have meant the Hospice has been able to keep people’s lives running as smoothly as possible during this very abnormal time.
Thank you for the support that you have given The Shift Foundation, and young Wellington women, through your Caremongering fund. It is really exciting for us to be able to work with young women by co-designing online content focused on youth wellbeing and empowerment. It means so much that we can work with an expert to create impactful digital content. Your support is greatly appreciated.
Here at Wesley Community Action we are really proud to be part of a movement to support whānau and communities across the Wellington region who are working to overcome this Covid-19 challenge. Your donation is part of that mahi and is important because it gives us more resource to follow the lead of the communities. As the experts in their own lives we are so pleased to be able to support them in creating their own solutions.
Wellington City Mission. We are incredibly grateful for your generous support. We’re continuing to provide food, making sure that the community can still get a nourishing daily meal and we’re delivering food parcels to people’s front door. Your help means we can make a real and lasting change in our community and across the Wellington region.
Graeme Dingle Foundation. This funding will go towards supporting vulnerable tamariki and rangatahi in Porirua as we move through the period of uncertainty back into normal schooling and life. With your support, we will be able to ensure we are giving our tamariki and rangatahi the best chance at coming through the lockdown period mentally fit, with positive mindsets, and ready to continue to set goals and reach their full potential.
