The Gift Trust is looking for 2-3 new trustees to join the board of our innovative and values-driven philanthropic trust. We work with more than 70 generous donors – individuals, families and companies – to plan and distribute their charitable funding on their behalf. We additionally run Gift Collective, a charitable fundholding service which helps grassroots groups raise, manage, and spend charitable funds transparently.
We are on a journey as an organisation to become a better Te Tiriti partner, and as such some of our criteria for new board members reflect our desire to do better in this space. We can offer you a supportive, friendly, constructive, welcoming and structured governance environment where you will be supported to bring your best to a governance role. We will offer new trustees a welcoming experience that emphasises whakawhanaungatanga, reciprocal relationships and a full understanding of our organisation, your background and we can work best together.
The role is voluntary, comprising 3-4 hours per month and 4-5 meetings per year, plus additional ad-hoc meetings and support for our team and our mission when needed. For a full job description, including a list of the skills and qualities we’re looking for, click here.
