The Gift Trust is looking for an experienced financial controller and qualified accountant for a new role. If you’re looking for a part-time role with a values-led organisation where you can make a significant difference to the community, we’ve got an awesome team for you to join!
The Gift Trust is a charitable trust with a mission to grow philanthropic giving in Aotearoa – since 2009, we’ve distributed more than $87 million to charitable causes in NZ and around the world. We work with a variety of generous donors – individuals, families and companies – to plan and distribute their charitable funding on their behalf. We facilitate the entire giving process, from researching and identifying charitable causes, to conducting due diligence and making local and international payments, to managing charitable investments.
You’ll be providing operational and strategic finance support and advice to our small team of five, including reporting and forecasting, accounting, audit support, and advising on process improvements. We’re looking for a strong strategic thinker, but one who’s not afraid to get into the details as this is a hands-on role.
The Gift Trust is a values-led non-profit organisation, where you can feel like you’re making a genuine difference in a collaborative and innovative team. Ours is a flexible working environment – we’d like to have you in our central Wellington office at least one day a week, but the rest is up to you. The initial contract is for one year to test this new role, with a view to extending.
