Predator Free Wellington’s mission is to create the world’s first predator-free capital city where native wildlife and communities thrive, by eliminating some of the most damaging Invasive Alien Species (rats, mustelids, possums) decimating our native taonga (treasured species). This transformational project is the urban prototype for the national PF2050 mission and is being delivered in partnership with the 212,000 residents of this 30,000-hectare city. The project aims for completion in 2030.
