Giving to New Zealand charities as a U.S. donor

The Gift Trust has partnered with Every.org and Myriad USA to help U.S. tax residents easily and effectively donate to New Zealand charitable causes. Through our partnerships, you can make tax-deductible contributions in the U.S. that benefit your preferred charitable causes in Aotearoa New Zealand.

1. Get in touch

Use our online form to notify The Gift Trust of the New Zealand charitable cause you wish to support. We will then conduct extensive due diligence to make sure we can make the grant.

2. Make your donation

Once we have approved your chosen charitable cause, we will provide you with either an donation link, or a set of payment details for one of our U.S. partners.

You can make the following kinds of contribution:

• U.S. Dollars, by check, credit/debit card or ACH/wire transfer
• Stocks, shares, and other transferrable securities
• Cryptocurrency
• Grant from your donor-advised fund (DAF)
• Bequest/life insurance policy distributions
• Retirement plan assets
• Charitable trust distributions

Once they have received your contribution, our U.S. partner will send you a U.S. tax receipt (for tax-deductible contributions), and transfer the funds to us.

3. We distribute your gift

We use the due diligence we‘ve done to make a grant to your chosen charitable cause, and notify them. Your gift can be entirely anonymous if you wish – just let us know.

Fees
